The foothills of the Karavanke, which I've shot many times, this was in the autumn, I love the play of the shadows and the sun breaking through here and there.

Winter mists

Taken last winter not 100 meters from our home. My wife noticed these beautiful mists early in the morning and I literally ran outside to take 3 or 4 photos.

 A lazy saturday morning in Ljubljana, judging by the light, I think this was taken in the early springtime.

The Rock

 Alcatraz Island, which houses a former military fort and prison, lies in the middle of San Francisco Bay. The photo was taken on the same boat ride as this photo of the Golden Gate Bridge.

The hikers

 My daughter, not yet three, with my wife behind her, look towards the Karavanke mountains in the background during a short walk up a hill in the vicinity of Ljubljana.

Watchtowers

 Lifeguard watchtowers stand empty in early november. This is along a long, sandy beach in the northern Italian town of Lido di Jesolo, just across the lagoon from Venice. Jesolo is one of the most popular beach resorts in Italy, but is quiet and empty outside of the main tourist season.

Peaks before the dark

 The last light in a narrow mountain valley, looking up at the peaks. The most prominent mountain here, on the left side of the photo, is Špik, whose name literally means "sharp"

Golden Gate

 

Spent a few day in San Francisco towards the beginning of 2023. I took a boat trip out towards the Golden Gate bridge late one evening with a brilliant sunset. This is one of the better photographs from the trip, I love the lovely gentle golden color on the bottom part of the bridge.

Ginkgo

 A ginkgo tree, one of the last to drop its leaves in this quick shot taken at the arboretum of Volčji Potok early in November.

Prater

 

The Prater is an old amusement park in Vienna (its full name being the Wurstelprater), this is one of its more well-known attractions, the Wiener Riesenrad, constructed in 1987.
