At the market

Saturday is, for us, often the day to go to market. Mainly for fresh, local fruits and vegetables, whatever happens to be in-season. Also some locally produced milk, cheeses and such. I'll often stop by either the butcher's or the fishmonger's, especially during the summer, when I buy something to toss on the grill. The shopping takes 20 or so minutes after which comes an hour of slowly drinking coffee.

At anchor

Another late-summer sunset, taken during our last vacation, this one was during the first days of September.

The harbour-bay was clear as glass,
So smoothly it was strewn!
And on the bay the moonlight lay,
And the shadow of the Moon.
-Samuel Taylor Coleridge, The Rime of the Ancient Mariner

Reflection

This is literally a reflection in a puddle - I think it has a special charm regardless.

Alpine townhouse

A townhouse in the city of Kranj, taken on a chill autumn morning where the sun was just starting to warm up.

Piran

I took this during our last vacation, towards the end of August. I think there might have been a bit of rain during the day which cleaned up the atmosphere - the visibility was quite good despite the clouds in the sky.

Waiting for a ride

Not much to say - a rainy summer afternoon in Ljubljana.

Fire in the sky

Taken after sunset, looking off towards the west, late in the fall. Autumn and winter sunsets are the best - I imagine it's because of the low angle which the sun sets behind the horizon.

Autumn sunshine

jance

Taken last autumn on a walk among one of the hills to the east of Ljubljana, the low sun illuminates the mishmash of different trees with what I'm guessing is a lone farmhouse in the center.
