Krvavec
The ski resort of Krvavec, taken on a late winter evening. The light towards the Karavanke was beautiful but fleeting - one minute the sun lit up the mountain tops, the next minute all was in shadow. This kept repeating for about ten minutes before the sun sank below the horizon - just enough time to pull out the camera and take three or four shots.
Also, to anyone who reads this - a happy new year :-)

Moose
This moose (or eurasian elk as it's known in Europe) was relaxing in the warm sun of the Bavarian forest. This is the same location I photographed this wolf and this owl. We managed to get very close, just a few meters away (but on the other side of a fence).

On belay
I don't even remember when I took this - it was taken on film, probably a couple of years ago. I had the photograph in my dia-projector for ages and didn't bother with it because the scan quality was so bad. I took some time to fix it and it came out pretty good. I'm still in love with the colors of Fuji's Velvia film :-)
Anyhow, this is at Napoleonica (as is this ship, this sunset and this castle), where Blaž was belaying a climber in the late afternoon sunshine on a winter day.

Shanghai
A night-time view of a small part of Shanghai's skyline. The city has quite a lot of smog, which leads to all of the light bleeding from the various signs and other lights, with light pollution much higher than what I'm used to. If memory serves correctly, this was taken about a year ago from a balcony at this building.

The view
Taken below the Grossglockner, facing south-east (that's the Stuedl Hut below on the right). This is very close to the spot which I took this photo two years ago (though this older photo is facing south).

Bavarian Castle
The Veste Oberhaus is a fortress which overlooks the confluence of the Danube and Inn rivers, as well as the old town of the Bavarian city of Passau. It's a very impressive castle - this photo was taken from one of the castle walls, with the old town out of sight behind it.

Wolf
A wolf in the Bavarian forest national park. The park has a very interesting zoo - it has animals which are native to the region, such as wolves, European bison, owls, etc. The enclosures are huge and often one doesn't even see some of the more secretive animals - thankfully, the wolves were just being fed, which made it that much easier to take this photo.

Cathedral
This is St. Stephan's Cathedral in Passau, a beautiful city in the south-east of Bavaria, Germany. It houses the largest cathedral organ in the world, also the largest organ outside of the US. Photography in churches and museums is often frowned upon, but this is mainly because of people who use flash - not that it's at all useful. Passau is known as the city of the three rivers, as the Danube, the Inn and the Ilz all join in this city. It's not very well-known but it has a beautiful old town and a very impressive castle.

Sundown on the Croda da Lago
The last rays of sun illuminate the Croda da Lago, one of the Italian Dolomites. The photo was taken about a week ago, when we spent some time climbing in the Dolomites around Cortina D'Ampezzo. This was taken from the Cinque Torri as we were finishing for the day.

A young warrior
A young boy, in front of the rising sun. And great warrior rises inside his eyes. Maybe a boss of the small village called Tejakula he will become one day. The village stays on the north of indonesian island Bali, where the sunrise is something spectacular. Rising from the sea, red and enormous, with a great panorama of fisherman in front. Tejakula also has a public bath place with four sections: men, women, boys and girls. And don't you dare to come in the women's bathing garden if you don't belong there. I had to run out of it!
